Cooking tasty food
from 1995 till today
and maybe tomorrow too!
Beaches is small friendly and comfortable, With just a few tables you can expect great service, tasty food and a friendly atmosphere,
a combination which we find keeps our guests coming back for more. Enjoy dining in our small candlelit oak beamed dining room
with its sea shanty decor and interesting nautical nick knacks. A cosy setting in which to enjoy beautifully cooked, tasty local produce
On most Saturday nights through out the year (except Dec and January) our 5 course tasting menu is served
It has proved to be very popular and is great value at £25.95
( £29.95 for parties of 10 or more)
of course we include our usual tasty dishes along with new delectable delights we have been trying out.
please let us know when booking of any vegetarians in your party (or any allergies) so we can cater to their needs
Our dining room fills up quickly, book your table early.
As a new experiment over the holidays last year we operated our dining room in a much more casual way on some evenings each week,
our guests brought wine, grabbed a seat in our tiny dining room or outside on the sunny side of the street
often sharing tables on busy evenings swopping stories and enjoying an imptomptu party atmosphere
Tuesdays and Wednesdays till the end of October -
a short blackboard menu featuring seafood straight from the Bay,
simply cooked casually served, streetfood style
During the day June -September
think seafood shack crossed with a streetfood cart and you kind of get the picture,
its worth checking out our openings on the street food page to drop by and see what is cooking this summer.
We now serve pudding - choose from 7 flavours of gorgeous gelato
Our family members have comfy self catering accommodation available
take a look at the accommodation page for details
As we have lived in the village for most of our lives, we can point you in the direction of the most atmospheric castle, the prettiest walk or the nicest pint, bring you up to date with local history and village happenings, or of course if you prefer, leave you to have your own adventures and discoveries. Northumberland is full of surprises, big open skies, deserted beaches (if you know where to look) an abundance of wildlife and conveniently placed cosy coastal pubs to name but a few.
Due to the covid situation and the requirement for businesses to implement social distancing we are unable to open the dining room within Beaches this year, small and cosy just isnt going to work at the moment.
Our Seafood shack however is open for food to go
. November openings as follows:
Friday 5 till 7.00pm for our supper menu
Saturday 5 till 7.00 pm for our supper menu
Sunday 8 till 11 for breakfast buns and a cuppa - 12 till 3pm for seafoody treats from our black board menu
and 7 flavours of gorgeous gelato for a tasty indulgence
